Position Overview

As our Social Media Content Creator Co-op, you'll work directly with our marketing team to develop engaging content that makes financial advisory services more approachable and understandable. You'll have the chance to support the team in shaping our brand voice from the ground up, creating content that resonates with people seeking guidance in their financial journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create authentic, engaging social media content that demystifies the financial advisory world
  • Write and optimize articles and blog posts that make complex financial topics accessible
  • Produce and edit short-form video content 
  • Track social media metrics and create performance reports
  • Research industry trends and competitor analysis
  • Develop and maintain a content calendar that aligns with our mission
  • Apply SEO best practices
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure content reflects our approachable brand voice

     
  • Required Qualifications
    • Previous co-op experience in marketing, communications, or related field
    • Strong writing ability with a talent for making complex topics accessible
    • Basic understanding of SEO principles
    • Experience with social media platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok)
    • Basic video editing skills
    • Ability to work independently and take initiative
    • Strong attention to detail
      Required Qualifications
       
  • Technical Skills
    • Familiarity with video editing software
    • Experience with social media management tools
    • Basic understanding of analytics tools
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
    • Basic graphic design skills a plus
  • Preferred Experience
    • Previous marketing or social media internship/co-op
    • Interest in fintech or financial services
    • Experience creating educational or explanatory content
    • Familiarity with SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs)
    • Portfolio of social media content or writing sample
